The start of April brought a whole slew of new movies to Netflix, including some awesome, award-winning and academy-nominated features.

The Pianist (2002)

Adrien Brody gave an incredible performance as Jewish musician Władysław Szpilman, winning the Oscar for Best Actor and becoming the youngest to do so.
Before the German invasion of Poland, Władysław Szpilman worked on the piano at the Warsaw radio station. When the Germans occupy his country, Szpilman sets out on a grueling survival journey to the city of Warsaw as he witnesses the persecution of his people and the destruction of his city.
Saving Private Ryan (1998)

After successfully capturing Omaha Beach during the Normandy invasion, Captain John H. Miller of the 2nd Ranger Battalion and seven of his men are enlisted to help locate Private James Ryan and bring him home after three of his brothers were killed in action.
Brokeback Mountain (2005)
