Onesumore: New Indian Movies & TV Series on Netflix: February 2021
Netflix branched out from Hindi content in February, adding films in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu to its Indian catalog. He also created his first original anthology in Telugu, Pitta kathalu. Here are all the new Indian movies and TV series added to Netflix in the US in February 2021.

Netflix gave fans of the great Irrfan Khan a gift by announcing that this joint India-Bangladesh production will air on the service. Khan plays a famous director whose family is torn apart when audiences learn of his affair with his daughter’s former classmate. Doob: no bed of roses won accolades on the festival circuit before being selected as Bangladesh’s official entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards (although it was not nominated).

When he finds out that his efforts to disperse the monkeys by conventional means shout “Eeb Allay Ooo!” against them only enrage them, he must find his own way to succeed in the big city.

Shine Tom Chacko anchors this thriller about the dramatic breakdown of a once happy marriage. Director Khalid Rahman uses austere visual techniques like quick cuts and extreme close-ups to increase the tension of a story that takes place mostly inside a small apartment. Be forewarned that Like contains a number of scenes of domestic violence.

Solving the murder of a homeowner should be easy for Detective Yamini, since the police have a photo of the suspect, but no one knows who the man in the photo is. Is he a civil engineer named Siddharth or is he his double, a player named Aditya? And how is one of them related to the dead? red is a remake of the 2019 Tamil movie Thadam.

Caught in an alcohol-induced downward spiral, London lawyer Mira becomes obsessed with a woman who seems to have the perfect life – at least as seen from the train he passes through her house every day. When the woman goes missing, Mira fears she may have played a role in the disappearance. The Hindi version of The girl on the train is based on both Paula Hawkins’ novel and the 2016 Hollywood movie starring Emily Blunt.

This documentary series follows six couples as they prepare for their elaborate weddings in India. Although the series features a gay couple and a young woman who want a more gradual ceremony, The big day is less interested in social matters than in showing the wedding festivities in their most opulent (without revealing how much they cost).
Pitta Kathalu (2021) N

Kind: Drama, Anthology | Added to Netflix: February 19
Originally promoted as an anthology film, Netflix ended up featuring Pitta kathalu as a 4-episode series (although Netflix categorizes it as both a movie and a series, go figure). Four directors offer their take on romance, jealousy and betrayal, putting the desires of women at the center of each of the short films.
Zindagi in brief (2020)

Kind: Anthology, comedy, drama | Added to Netflix: February 22
This collection of shorts from seven different directors spans the gamut, with stories about childhood bullies and the dangers of aging, first love stories and the pitfalls of marriage. The shortest movie is only 11 minutes long, the longest 22 minutes.
