Tiger King, the Netflix 2020 phenomenon that has taken the world by storm, looks like it will return in one form or another over the next few months, potentially on Netflix as its first anniversary approaches.

Watched by more than 64 million homes around the world, the documentary series documenting the long-running feud between Joe Exotic and Carole Baskins that swept the world at a time when most were locked up due to COVID-19.

The documentary series landed on Netflix on March 20, 2020 worldwide and then saw a special added bonus episode hosted by Joel McHale and released on Netflix on April 12, 2020.

The documentary series has since spawned a huge buzz in ownership with several projects in development both on Netflix and other networks. NBC is working on adapting the Over My Dead Body podcast into a limited series, Nicolas Cage will appear in a series currently in production for Amazon Prime Video and Netflix itself is said to be more advanced in action with a title produced by Ryan Murphy. although it is yet to be confirmed.

A second season has long been rumored and the BBC reported last August that Netflix had got the rights to a second season and now it looks like he’s about to come out.

Now, almost a year later, it looks like more are on the way at least according to two of the show’s stars, John Reinke and James Garretson.

News comes from Cameo from all the places many stars of the show are available to respond to birthday requests, screams or just chat with them.

In recent weeks, James and John have responded to requests (many for Valentine’s Day), teasing them more King tiger is on its way to some extent. John Reinke gives the most explicit allusion to a Tiger King season 2 in a recent Cameo (embedded below):

“I want to thank you guys for watching King tiger and get ready, yeah, believe it or not, there’s another season coming out soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that ”

John also added that he hopes he’s still the right guy and adds, “I can see him when you see him”.

Likewise, numerous Cameos by James Garretson is teasing that something is coming in March or April 2021. We also contacted through the app to clarify and got a message that said, “Yes, more coming out soon don’t know [the] exact date “.

Of course, there is a lot to discuss since the release of the first season. Biggest stories being Joe Exotic attempt to obtain a presidential pardon and the Tiger King zoo closes permanently.

It seems unlikely that Carole Baskin herself is involved or not. Since the airing, Carole and her husband have said that she felt betrayed by the filmmakers of the documentary.

That’s all we have for now, we’ll let you know if we hear more in the coming weeks.
