The documentary series landed on Netflix on March 20, 2020 worldwide and then saw a special added bonus episode hosted by Joel McHale and released on Netflix on April 12, 2020.
The documentary series has since spawned a huge buzz in ownership with several projects in development both on Netflix and other networks. A second season has long been rumored and the BBC reported last August that Netflix had got the rights to a second season and now it looks like he’s about to come out.
Now, almost a year later, it looks like more are on the way at least according to two of the show’s stars, John Reinke and James Garretson.
News comes from Cameo from all the places many stars of the show are available to respond to birthday requests, screams or just chat with them.
In recent weeks, James and John have responded to requests (many for Valentine’s Day), teasing them more King tiger is on its way to some extent. John Reinke gives the most explicit allusion to a Tiger King season 2 in a recent Cameo (embedded below):
“I want to thank you guys for watching King tiger and get ready, yeah, believe it or not, there’s another season coming out soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that ”
John also added that he hopes he’s still the right guy and adds, “I can see him when you see him”.
Likewise, numerous Cameos by James Garretson is teasing that something is coming in March or April 2021. We also contacted through the app to clarify and got a message that said, “Yes, more coming out soon don’t know [the] exact date “.
It seems unlikely that Carole Baskin herself is involved or not. Since the airing, Carole and her husband have said that she felt betrayed by the filmmakers of the documentary.
That’s all we have for now, we’ll let you know if we hear more in the coming weeks.
