Onesumore: ‘Weeds’ Seasons 1-8 Leaving Netflix in April 2021
After a long time, we received the official confirmation that Weeds is slated to leave Netflix in April 2021 in the United States, which means the show is now fully retired. Where will Weeds stream next? We will take a look.
The series has aired on Netflix for over a decade with new seasons on Netflix since the streaming service’s inception in the United States.
The final season, Season 8, was added to Netflix in the US in March 2013.

All 8 seasons are now set to be removed from Netflix on April 1, 2021.
Weeds has already left Netflix in most parts of the world with seasons 1-8 departing key countries for Netflix such as UK, Australia and Canada on December 31, 2019 or January 1, 2020 depending on your time zone.
In May 2020, we received the first warning signs Weeds would soon be leaving where the chairman of Lionsgate TV said the show’s license was about a year before it was phased out.
Where will Weeds stream after leaving Netflix?
This remains to be determined from our research. The show will have a sequel in the near future. according to a report in 2019 so we can see him reside only on Starz.
He could follow in the footsteps of Mad Men which was eventually shared between AMC and IMDbTV.
However, given CBS’s involvement as a distributor, it could be reserved for Paramount +. We will provide an update as we receive it.
